Are you in search of a spacious room in a comfortable, modern and shared apartment that is centrally located in the beautiful city of Bern? If your period of stay moreover is between September 1, 2017, and February 28, 2018, and sums up to at least 4 months altogether, we should definitely get in touch!

I’m going for a study semester abroad in Leuven, Belgium, from September 2017 until Febuary 2018. Therefore, I’d love to host you in my shared apartment that lies in the western city part of Bern (district of „Mattenhof-Weissenbuehl“), just between „Loryplatz“ and „Fischermaetteli“ – two very well accessible transport hubs (e.g., tramway, bus, bike). „Mattenhof-Weissenbuehl“ is an emergent and vibrant district that offers anything from delightful and authentic restaurants and cafes, numerous and diverse shopping facilities as well as lovely local recreation areas.

The city centre is only a stone’s throw away (e.g., 3 minutes by bike, 5 minutes by tramway or bus) and comprises Bern’s main railway station, a wide majority of the campuses of the University of Bern and the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH), and anything else that’s appreciable in Bern (e.g., Aare, Marzili, Federal Palace of Switzerland, old town / Bern Minster, Bärengraben / Rosengarten, etc.).

Currently, I’m sharing my apartment with a close and trusted buddy of mine (26 y/o). During your stay at our place, he’d gladly be of valuable help anytime that you should be in need. However, since he’s professionally full-time bound and very engaged in his continuing studies, sports and social activities, it would be favorable if you brought an extended level of self-reliance. Hence, a stay at our place is also very suitable for (young) professionals. Relating to this, the apartment is conveniently located as well, as the local business hubs (e.g., WankdorfCity) are accessible within few minutes by public transport.

The mezzanine-floor apartment is very spacious, soundproof and comes with anything that a modern accommodation should include by default. Please note that there’d be an officejet printer in your room and a storage room in the basement at your disposal as well. Finally, I’d like to say that I’ve appreciated the apartment and my room as places of retreat and work at any point in time – it’s really an all-around carefree package and I’d be happy to pass it along and thus contribute to a unique and delightful stay of yours in Bern.
